Research Management Series

The Research Management Series aims to introduce faculty to laboratory and research management skills that are critical to launch productive independent academic careers. This series, open to all FAS Science Faculty and SEAS Faculty, but targeted to assistant and associate professors, discusses some of the most critical aspects in effectively directing and managing a research program at Harvard.  The series includes a number of senior Harvard faculty and other experts who draw on their own experiences managing a research enterprise.

The series is intended to complement the Howard Hughes Medical Institute/Burroughs Wellcome Fund (HHMI/BWF) book, Making the Right Moves – A Practical Guide to Scientific Management for Postdocs and New Faculty. All participants will receive a copy of this book.
