Stephen Kargere

Stephen Kargère, Director of the FAS Office for Postdoctoral Affairs, oversees the work of the office, which supports over 1,200 postdocs, college fellows, and research associates across the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, and all Harvard-affiliated schools, centers, and institutes in Cambridge. The mission of the office is to support postdocs and research associates in their career and professional development goals, to serve as a resource to campus constituents on postdoc life and work, and to build a sense of community among postdocs.

In addition, Stephen is available to provide individual consultations to postdocs, research associates, and faculty mentors. In this role, Stephen serves over 1,200 postdocs across a variety of disciplines, assisting with their career and professional development by offering individual career counseling appointments, workshops, and symposia. He also advises university administrators, faculty, and staff on issues pertaining to postdoctoral scholars.
