March 6, 2024

The Central Engineering Division (CE) of Harvard’s Center for Astrophysics (CfA) is staffed by over 60 engineers, programmers, and technicians who can help make your technical project a success, from helping you to write your proposal to designing, building, and programming instruments. Read more about the CfA Central Engineering Division’s expertise, facilities and equipment, free resources or check out their current projects.

The CE hosts monthly tours, offering a chance to tour their facilities and meet with engineers and other team members. CLICK HERE to sign-up for the next tour.

Costing varies dependent of project parameters and the grade of support required. On average, support ranges from $60 - $110 per hour pending the expertise level of the engineer, programmer, or technician. All projects are subject to a 11.7% general and administrative services fee. Dependent of funding sources, some projects may also incur a 3% management fee. To receive a customized project quote, please CLICK HERE to complete an inquiry form. A representative from CE will get in touch with you within a week to discuss the details and potential costing structure.
