Award Amount: $110,000/year for five years
Eligible Candidates: Assistant Professors conducting research in cancer, immunology, and neuroscience. It is preferable that candidates be in the first three years of their tenure track.

The Rita Allen Foundation Scholars program funds basic biomedical research in the fields of cancer, immunology, and neuroscience. Rita Allen Foundation Scholars are distinguished by their bold approaches to basic scientific questions that address problems of global concern, as well as their potential for learning, leadership and collaboration. The program embraces innovative research with above-average risk and groundbreaking possibilities. Recent recipients include Amanda Whipple (MCB, 2020) and Briana Burton (MCB, 2011).

This is a limited submission opportunity and Harvard University may nominate only one candidate for this opportunity. Applicants for the Harvard nomination must submit a proposal to an internal competition run by the Office of the Vice Provost of Research (OVPR) via the link above.
