Award Amount: $100,000/year for two years. This award does not allow overhead. Please discuss with your grants administrator before beginning an application.
Eligibility: Applicants must be full-time faculty members who received their terminal degree in May 2016 or later, and are currently teaching in a classroom, advising graduate students, and conducting research.
The Microsoft Research Faculty Fellowship recognizes innovative, promising new faculty, whose exceptional talent for research and innovation identifies them as emerging leaders in their fields. Proposed research must be closely related to the general research areas carried out by researchers at Microsoft. Use the "Our research" tab on the program website as a guideline for the areas of interest to Microsoft.
Please Note: This is a limited submission opportunity. Harvard University, as single institution, may nominate up to three faculty members to this opportunity. The Office of the Vice Provost for Research is facilitating an internal application process to review and select nominees. Prospective applicants must submit a pre-proposal via the link above to be considered for nomination.
