Award Amount: $100,000/year for 2 years

The Microsoft Research Faculty Fellowship recognizes innovative, promising new faculty, whose exceptional talent for research and innovation identifies them as emerging leaders in their fields.

Nominees must be full-time faculty at a degree-granting college or university in North America or South America who received their terminal degree (e.g. PhD, DSc) in August 2014 or later. Microsoft will take into account approved delays, such as leaves of absences from the workplace, on a case by case basis.

Research must be closely related to the general research areas carried out by Microsoft Research:

This is a limited submission opportunity and Harvard University may submit up to two proposals. The Office of the Vice Provost for Research is facilitating the internal application process two select the Harvard nominees. To be considered for the Harvard nominations, potential applicants must submit an internal pre-proposal via the link above.
