FAS Science Laboratory Chemical Spring Cleaning Week

This event is a great opportunity to cleanout unwanted, unused, or expired chemicals in your laboratory.  This event is open to Science Division laboratories located on the Biolabs side of Oxford Street.   To participate in this event, please complete this this Qualtrics survey with an estimated number of containers for pickup by Friday, March 31st.  Other important dates are detailed below.  

By March 31st:  Registration 

• Let us know what you have. Submit this Qualtrics survey with an estimated number of containers for pickup. Please note that unknown chemicals will be accepted for pickup; however, DEA controlled substances, prescription drugs, biologicals, and radioactive materials will not be accepted for pickup.  Standard waste disposal procedures should continue to be used for ineligible materials. 

By April 21st: Mark containers for pickup 

• Use Avery Red Neon Circle Stickers to mark individual containers and place in designated pickup spot within the laboratory. The neon stikcers will be available on the basement level of the Biolabs in the bin directly across from the lab coat storage area in B071 and Northwest Labs in the room 102 (Northwest Labs Facilities Office) in the bin near the front desk.  Please only take the sstickers you need.

April 24th - April 27th: Pick-up days

• Chemicals will be picked up by Triumverate staff.  All viable chemcials will be available for swap, before final disposal.  More details about the chemical swap to come.
