DOE Limited Submission Opportunities: Harvard internal LOI deadline

 The US Department of Energy has recently released four (4) funding opportunity announcements that limit the number of submissions from an institution and that have tight turnaround times. If you have interest in applying to any of the opportunities below, please submit a letter of intent to Erin Hale at erin_hale@fas.harvard.edu no later than 12 noon on April 6, 2021.

Letters of intent should include the following:

• Funding opportunity to which you are applying
• Name of PI and any co-PIs, along with institutional affiliations
• Proposal title
• Summary of the proposed project (limit one page)

DOE Limited Submission Opportunities:

1. Data Science to Advance Chemical and Materials Sciences
   DOE Pre-Application Deadline: April 14, 2021 (FAS/SEAS/OSP Deadline: April 9, 2021)
   Limit: Two (2) pre-applications per institution as the lead institution, one (1) application per PI.
2. EXPRESS: Randomized Algorithms for Extreme-Scale Science
   DOE Pre-Application Deadline: April 16, 2021
   Limit: Three (3) pre-applications per institution as the lead institution, one (1) application per PI.
3. Data-Intensive Scientific Machine Learning and Analysis
   DOE Pre-Application Deadline: April 23, 2021
   Limit: Two (2) pre-applications per institution as the lead institution, one (1) application per PI.
4. Flow Battery Systems Manufacturing 
   DOE Concept Paper Deadline April 29, 2021, OSP review not required
   Limit: Two (2) concept papers per institution as the lead institution.
