SUMMARY:Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study: Accelerator Workshops: Proposal Deadline
DESCRIPTION:

Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study: Accelerator Workshops
Deadline: February 8, 2022
Award Amounts individually determined

The Accelerator Workshop Program provides funding to scholars, practitioners, and artists to propel their original research programs or projects toward a specific outcome: a publication, a grant application, a course curriculum, an exhibition, a performance, or policy recommendations, to name only a few possibilities. With an eye toward accelerating the spread of innovative ideas and knowledge into the academic or public realm, this program brings participants together to further develop and refine their work as they prepare for its eventual dissemination. Funding is available to support one- to two-day workshops for 12-20 participants hosted on the campus of the Radcliffe Institute.

Applications are currently being accepted for workshops to be held between July 2022 and June 2023. The lead applicant must be either a Harvard ladder faculty member (tenured or tenure-track) from any school or a former or current Radcliffe fellow; co-applicants may apply with lead applicants who meet eligibility requirements.

	The program welcomes proposals that:

reflect research already under way that would benefit from a range of perspectives and the neutral setting available at Radcliffe

aim to produce a defined outcome (e.g., a publication, a grant application, a course curriculum, an exhibition, a performance, or policy recommendations)

invite the perspectives of diverse participants and stakeholders to the discussion

integrate senior and junior scholars from diverse institutions in the greater Boston area, across the United States, or around the world

Radcliffe encourages proposals relevant to the Institute’s focus areas, which include law, education, justice; youth leadership and civic engagement; climate change; and legacies of slavery. Proposals that connect research to public policy, pressing social issues, and/or seek to actively engage audiences beyond academia are of special interest. Reflecting Radcliffe's unique history, proposals that focus on women, gender, and society or draw on the Schlesinger Library's rich collections are encouraged.

Radcliffe will be hosting four general information sessions to provide information about the aims of the Accelerator Workshop program and the application process.
