SUMMARY:Harvard Brain Science Initiative Bipolar Disorder Seed Grants: LOI Deadline
DESCRIPTION:

Harvard Brain Science Initiative Bipolar Disorder Seed Grants
Letter of Intent Deadline: March 5, 2021
Full Proposal Deadline: April 2, 2021
Award Amount: $100,000 for one year

The Harvard Brain Science Initiative (HBI) Bipolar Disorder Seed Grant Program supports research relevant to the basic understanding and eventual treatment of bipolar disorder. This program funds innovative, visionary projects with new ideas and approaches that may not attract seed funding from conventional sources. Basic research at any level – in any model organism or humans- can be supported through this program, but the applicant should articulate a clear connection to bipolar disorder and seek to address fundamental questions appropriate for a seed grant.

Faculty members with independent research laboratories, at the assistant professor level or higher, across Harvard University are eligible to apply. Only one application (individual or collaborative) is permitted per investigator. Past grant recipients are welcome to submit competitive renewal or new applications. However, when all other factors are equal, preference may be given to new applicants

Former FAS winners include Bence P. Ölveczky (OEB), Adam Cohen (CCB) and Nao Uchida (MCB).

Questions about this announcement may be directed to Parizad Bilimoria, Assistant Director for HBI, at parizad_bilimoria@hms.harvard.edu.
