The Harvard Data Science Initiative is pleased to announce a networking reception with data scientists from Elsevier on Monday, November 6, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. in the Cabot Science Library.

The reception will provide an opportunity to engage with data scientists at Elsevier around fundamental data science challenges (both basic and applied). Elsevier wants to learn about data science related research that Harvard researchers are working on that would benefit from collaboration and support. The event is one of several planned data science networking opportunities intended to promote collaborations both amongst our own community and with external partners.

The networking reception will follow more focused roundtable discussions that the DSI is convening on the topics of “Key Factors for Scientific Impact on Policy”, “Interpretable Models for Precision Medicine”, and “Social and Behavioral Determinants of Health Care”.
