**Eligible Nominees: Individuals or organizations with proven, exceptional, distinct excellence in the sciences, arts, and humanities**  
**Eligible Fields: history and memory, memory loss, and artificial intelligence**

The Dan David Prize is an annual international prize, which awards three prizes of US $1 million each for achievements having an outstanding scientific, technological, cultural or social impact on our world. Each year, prizes and fields are chosen within the three Time Dimensions: Past, Present and Future. The three fields associated with the 2014 prize in each time dimension are:

- Past: History and Memory - This prize will be awarded to an outstanding individual who has made a significant contribution to the understanding of the interplay between history and memory, and between contemporary perceptions and narratives of the past.
- Present: Combatting Memory Loss - This prize will be awarded to an outstanding individual who has made a significant contribution to the understanding of memory loss and continues to pioneer the way forward to finding a solution.
- Future: Artificial Intelligence - This prize will be awarded to an outstanding individual who has made a ground breaking, significant contribution to any major aspect of Artificial Intelligence and continues to advance this field
