Sponsor Deadline: July 21, 2015 for applications to Directorates for Biological Sciences (BIO), Computer and Information Sciences & Engineering (CISE), and Education and Human Resources (EHR)
Award Amount:  $400,000 minimum for all directorates except for the Directorate for Biological Sciences (BIO), the Directorate for Engineering (ENG), and the Division of Polar Programs (PLR).  For proposals submitted to BIO, ENG, or PLR, the minimum award size is $500,000.

The Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Program is a Foundation-wide activity that offers the National Science Foundation's most prestigious awards in support of junior faculty who exemplify the role of teacher-scholars through outstanding research, excellent education and the integration of education and research within the context of the mission of their organizations.  Such activities should build a firm foundation for a lifetime of leadership in integrating education and research.  Proposed research activities may be in any area of science, mathematics, engineering and education normally supported by NSF. Proposed education activities may be in a broad range of areas and may be directed to any level.  Applications may cross disciplinary boundaries and may involve international/global dimensions, including fieldwork in the Polar Regions.
