Award Amount: Up to $750,000 over 5 years

The Early Career Research Program supports the development of individual research programs of outstanding scientists early in their careers and stimulates research careers in the disciplines supported by the DOE Office of Science.  Opportunities exist in the following program areas: Advanced Scientific Computing Research (ASCR); Biological and Environmental Research (BER); Basic Energy Sciences (BES), Fusion Energy Sciences (FES); High Energy Physics (HEP), and Nuclear Physics (NP).  The Principal Investigator must be an untenured Assistant Professor on the tenure track or an untenured Associate Professor on the tenure track at a U.S. academic institution as of November 19, 2015.  No more than ten years can have passed between the year the Principal Investigator's Ph.D. was awarded and the year of the deadline for the application. For the present competition, those who received doctorates 2005 or later are eligible.
